This pink toe beaned, hugger, food motivated girlie stole my heart. My family and I volunteered our morning on SB Sunday to walk some doggies at our local shelter. We walked four dogs total, but as we were waiting to walk our first dog, she was given to another volunteer, but she came to me, leaned on me, and showed me her belly. All morning I couldn't stop thinking about her. So I spoke to my SO and asked his thoughts on fostering with a goal to adopt. We had already talked about ado

She was my best friend and companion for 8 and a half years. I never went anywhere without her and she will always be with me in my memories. Things are getting a little better day by day but a huge part of me is gone forever. Love you my sweet baby girl, you’ll always be in my thoughts. submitted by /u/9fingerjeff to r/dogpictures [link] [comments]

My sweet silly girl was rapidly deteriorating from cancer so I had to let her go on 9/11 which was two days before her 9th birthday and 6 days before my 27th birthday. She loved everyone she ever met and had the energy of a pup right until the last 6-8 weeks. I miss hearing her little snorts of excitement and dancing with her in the kitchen. I’m so grateful my friends gifted me these perfect portraits to remember her by. submitted by /u/Anon4596 to r/dogpicture
She was my childhood dog, I wasn’t expecting such great grief. The second image was an imprint outside on the ice, where she lay to sniff the morning air, taken the day she passed. submitted by /u/mtmw25 to r/DOG [link] [comments]

This is one of my girl Mavis puppies, she passed away 3 days after giving birth to her litter. They were all bottle fed from that point on. Well she is coming home to me and I will figure out a way to make it work. Born Aug 27, dad was malamute and mom was black lab/golden retriever/collie submitted by /u/Niko-F to r/DOG [link] [comments]
