I had my GSD, Scarlet, for 10 years since she was a few weeks old. She was my soul dog and a big baby. We lost her may 6th 2025 to cancer. We adopted a little monster mutt we named Billie and she does so much my Scarlet would do. She's American pitbull, blueheeler, GSD, and doberman. I'm very thankful for both pups being a part of my life submitted by /u/TheDevilDogg to r/DOG [link] [comments]
Early this year our two year old rescue, Benny, was diagnosed with stage four lymphoma and given 2 months to live, we put him on prednisone to make him comfortable, and he wasn’t showing any symptoms, we did a secondary scan and it was completely clear, so we decided to taper him off, he’s been off the prednisone for almost a month, and is doing amazing! We believe it was a misdiagnosis! We are absolutely over the moon that we’ll hopefully have him for years to come! submitted by

Hector is a staffy mix, 3.5 years old, and is very affectionate. Does anybody out there have a similar looking dog? submitted by /u/sEntity88 to r/dogpictures [link] [comments]
I never knew what people meant by having a “soul dog” until i met Cali. My first love. My best friend. My anxious little baby. We connect on such a level I didn’t know was possible without a word spoken. Here’s to 7 incredible years and many more to come. submitted by /u/Some_Environment9164 to r/DOG [link] [comments]

Miss my dog! Tara Ann crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday and I am not ok! She was only 8 1/2! It doesn’t seem fair! She had a beautiful soul and I’m hoping my mom and dad were there to meet her! I can’t wait to see her again! submitted by /u/Bgreeneyes1995 to r/dogpictures [link] [comments]

I just got him from the animal shelter today. He was dumped- his fur was completely matted, he needed a sedated shave, his ear are terribly infected, and all his bones are sticking out. He was not well cared for. But he is sooo loving, and so sweet, and so grateful to have a home. He is very docile, but will jump on anyone and give tons of kisses. I just want a name that really fits him. Please help! (He is a Wheaton Terrier, so he will be fluffy when his hair grows back!) submitted

I the past I have posted some pics of some of the strays that my family and I look after, and a couple of months ago this little guy disappeared from the block, and we were worried something bad had happened so him because the streets are dangerous for them, so at some point when they disappear we know something happened to them, so we were so sad, but then yesterday he came back!! We have no idea what happened to him or where he was, but we are happy he's still with us in the world.
Had to have our 13 year old mini schnauzer put to sleep three weeks ago. We are collecting his ashes and I don’t know what to do with them. I don’t want to keep them but I also don’t want to let them go. I was thinking of planting them in the garden under one of our trees. What have you done in similar circumstances? submitted by /u/RelationKindly to r/DOG [link] [comments]
She loved people so much that she didn't make a very good guard dog but she still made us feel safe at home. Her last meal was a medium fillet steak with bone marrow butter. We will miss you Marley ❤️ submitted by /u/Ex-humanBeing to r/dogpictures [link] [comments]
My boy when we first adopted him vs. now. We got him on a diet, regular exercise, and now he is the happiest and fittest pupper! submitted by /u/DatK9Guy to r/dogpictures [link] [comments]
