I got to pet and feed a wolf-dog at a wolf-dog sanctuary and rescue center today. Dogs are so pretty.

There was one dog that was most genetically mostly dog (9% wolf) but was kept because she was a good match for another wolf-dog and they found out her percentage after the successful introduction and couldn’t take them apart. It’s really interesting to see the dog features in some of them and how they behave.

It also was a good educational lesson on basically not keeping them as pets and how a majority of their dogs were rescues from people who thought they could own one but quickly found they couldn’t. One I got to pet was abandoned at a dog park that was right next to a shelter.
