It’s been 24 Hours since I put my dog down

My 13 year old male Pomeranian went to doggy heaven last night. His name was Manny. He was my first dog. I raised him since he was a puppy. He was a quiet dog mostly just chilling, he loved treats, walks, car rides, and playing fetch. He was never afraid of baths or most loud noises, just the big mean dogs. Last week I noticed he was lazier than usual and peeing without lifting his leg I just figured it was old age. Then after this weekend he stop eating food and most treats. He also puked under my bed and he last pooped on Sunday. He stopped drinking water. So I called the vet on Monday to schedule for Tuesday. I came home from work on Tuesday and he was just laying in his bed unable to walk or stand. I took him outside and held him up to pee. He took his last pee. The vet came back with the results and told me his kidneys were failing. Plus he’s been on medication for heart murmur for a couples years now. I decided to put him to sleep that night because I felt his declined was too far gone and too quick. I didn’t want to come home to him dead without me being there to say goodbye. The last picture of this slide is him with the vet prepping him for the injection.

Rest in Peace Manny 😭 I miss you a lot already.
