| Reddit, meet Toast! We found her abandoned up in the local jungle hike rest area 8 weeks ago; she was covered in ticks and fleas and was skin and bones (the pics don't show how bad she was). We live in Costa Rica and already have 4 indoor cats in a tiny house in the jungle but we couldn't just leave her there - Costa Rica has a huge stray/abuse problem for cats and dogs, if you come here on holiday please consider making a donation to the local shelters, the country survives and thrives on eco tourism but that only applies to the exotic animals. Anyway, she's settled in so so well, we're still having the odd accident with pooping in the house but she's a very good girl and is super well behaved with the cats (who are growing to tolerate her); I just wanted to show what a difference such a short time can make :) [link] [comments] |
