Rescue Shepherd gets 6 bonus years (and counting)

Here’s our boy, he’s slowed down a lot in the last year, but 6 years isn’t a bad run for a boy who was only expected to make it a couple of weeks!

He went from 45 pounds in pic 1 up to 105 in his prime, when he could still run around, and now he’s at his minimum recommended vet weight of 85 to keep the weight off his very bad hips (he’s a very large shepherd and was never overweight).

They say a week too soon is better than a day too late and each day is a game day decision, but he’s doing OK all things considered.

Westside German Shepherd Rescue has some great people. Best failed foster ever.
