Nothing could’ve prepared me for this day. Yesterday, everything seemed to be fine. This morning, I get the message that my best friend Ace, who helped me get through my teenage years and who I loved so dearly, has gone completely numb in both front legs.

All day I spent in disbelief of this news, always hoping for that one message to pop up, saying that he’s fine. Despite all hope, Ace had to be put down to release him of his suffering. I will forever cherish the time and love you’ve given me Ace. Your departure after 12 short years came way too early, but I hope I was able to give you a life worthy of your big heart.
