I can’t even with my daughter’s dog.

So, my 22yo daughter had a minimally invasive heart operation today. She’s fine. We were there for 12 hours, but they started 4 hours late. She did great. Her dog? Not so much. She’s staying with me while she recovers.

He knows she’s here. He can hear her in the spare bedroom. He just can’t get near her tonight and he’s used to sleeping right next to her. I’m currently hanging out in my library (which is next to her room) until he gets sleepy because he just cried until I opened by bedroom door, then he just cried at her door.

I feel like I’m watching a human infant here. 🙄. Damn. Dogs are literally the best thing on the planet, aren’t they? He just wants his best friend and won’t stop crying until he can be with her. 💕
