Quick Story/PSA: My rescued pup

I work in NYC. A few months ago someone dropped off a dog at my workplace in a plastic bag. The dog was in horrendous condition with multiple injuries on her body. Someone I work with grabbed the bag she was in and placed it outside on the sidewalk. The pup was running around the sidewalk but some of my more compassionate co workers were trying to wrangle her up, eventually I was able to coax her into my hands. She smelled putrid as if her skin was already decomposing. Long story short she was treated by VERG and then again the ASPCA. They were absolutely excellent. I was able to keep tabs on her and I adopted her a few weeks ago. She’s healed up, extremely playful and is even getting along with my cats. I’m usually a private person but I wanted to post this as a PSA kind of thing. Please be kind to animals, if you’re overwhelmed seek help and if you see an animal in distress don’t disregard them. A little empathy goes a long way. Excuse the graphic photos.
