Had to say goodbye to my sweet Patches last night

I'm absolutely heartbroken to wake up today without my shadow behind me. Late last night my girlfriend and I had to send our sweet girl across the rainbow bridge. She had a long full life but due to severe medical issues we discovered last night. we had to do what was right by her.
My girlfriend had her almost 14 years and I know her for 5.

Last week we were chosen by our new cat Bagheera who ran into our apartment and Patches gave him her approval immediately. This last pic was taken the first night Bagheera snuck into our apartment. It was meant to be I guess.
