So a week ago I posted that my guy was turning 15 (might be 16) and I haven't seen him for a couple years because of relocation. I saw him... he definitely wasn't the same. Staring at walls, barely getting excited. You could tell he was in pain. A few years ago he was given 6 months to live, he had mesothelioma and fluid around his heart. He couldn't walk far without breathing heavy. They got drained and he was back to his old self. A few weeks ago his mouth started bleeding. It turns out he had a tumor growing behind his teeth. The surgery was scheduled for tomorrow. Went to the docs today and his white blood cell count went from 14k to 42k (i don't know what that means) and he most likely had lymphoma. Doc said he wouldn't make it through surgery, and gave him 3 weeks. I can't picture ever subjecting family to losing a pet. I dunno. Like I said. Hug your doggos tonight. Thanks. [link] [comments] |
