my childhood dog says goodbye

this is duke. my family has had duke for almost 13 years, since i was about 5 or 6. i don’t remember anything before having him around. yesterday we found out he has lung cancer and have to put him down tomorrow. he’s the sweetest boy, scared of the dark, loves his bed, and loves laying in the yard sunbathing. this is the first time i’ve ever lost a pet and was just looking for some comforting words. 🤍
