Show me a photo of the dog who changed your world

This gentle soul is Barley. He was my first dog as an adult, and I miss him every day. I don’t know how old he was (he was an adult when I got him) but I had him from my early twenties into my early thirties. He went through so many moves, relationships, jobs, cities, grad school, and meeting/dating/marrying my husband. We lost him a little over a year and a half ago. He was truly the best.

He was such an important soul in my life, I want to hold space for other folks’ Dog (with a capital D) who was the OG game changer. It’s important to remember them.
