![]() | I adopted my beautiful, extremely skittish but equally sweet saluki mix from Qatar in July 2021. Her early years in life were not easy ones, resulting in a very nervous dog who scared away from humans regularly. Though she was not without her challenges, I loved her dearly and did what I could to make her time with me as fruitful as I felt capable. In November of last year, my apartment suffered a devastating fire and I lost my dear Luna, despite my best efforts to save her (landing me in the ICU for a week with collapsed lungs due to smoke inhalation). My sweet girl was far too young to be taken from this world, and deserved a longer life with a better ending, after all she endured. Attached are a series of photos in chronological order: starting with picking her up at the airport and seeing her in her crate for the very first time, and ending with my partner’s dog resting next to a portrait of her that was made for me after her passing. I hope she is now at rest, I love and miss you dearly Lunes. [link] [comments] |
