This is our sweet boy, Ludo! He’s a cocklierpoo which is a cocker spaniel, King Charles Cavalier, and poodle mix. This is my first time owning one. I also have a yochan (yorkie/bischon) named Fizzgig and have had a Pomeranian. Let me tell you why you should have a cocklierpoo, from what I’ve gathered in his one year. This little guy is ridiculously easy to train. He’s very smart! Does not matter if you give him treats or love (if the treats were forgotten at home), he reacts with the same excitement to both. Little dude took three days to be fully potty trained. He’s the stereotypical dog- he LOVES love. If you’re feeling down, he reads the room and will comfort you until he gets hot lol. He’s got a lot of energy to play all day but he could also sleep all day too. Watch out though.. he’s clumsy and runs like a bull. Got kids? Great! He’s fantastic with them!! It’s like he knows that because they’re smaller, he needs to be gentle. A three year old wanted to walk around with him so I allowed her to hold his leash and watched from a distance. This 10lb good boy walked slow with her and, when she dropped the leash, he stayed at her side. I can’t say that all of them are like this but we have decided to only get his breed mix from now on. He makes a fantastic family dog and fits in with every environment. Of course, choose what works best for you! It just seems like people are only getting either cockapoos or golden poos, and I wanted to suggest another! There’s good and bad with every breed: he’s got separation anxiety that puts the yorkie to shame lol. [link] [comments] |
