Said goodbye 3 weeks ago

Lottie was 12 years old, Springer X collie who was diagnosed with insulinoma cancer. I'm 48 years old and had dogs all my life. The loss of Lottie has hit me the hardest.

She was a very giving dog. She learned the symptoms of my mood swings from bipolar and bpd. She would nudge me and bring me a toy or shoe. This would usually be enough for my symptoms to dissipate.

She was very intelligent and playful and loved woodlands the most but was happy anywhere she went. She had the waggiest butt of all dogs.

It's been almost 3 weeks since doing the kindest thing we can when we can't bare the thought of our dogs suffering with no other solution. Yesterday though I burst in to tears again feeling that horrendous loss.

However, I do have another dog who needs my attention. And a cat who occasionally needs attention.
