Said goodbye to a member of the family today

This is Melody (or Mel/Melly). Today (17-8-23) we had to say goodbye to her and let her leave to the dog park in the sky. She was a rescue that we adopted at 6mth old back in 2011, and today she left us as a 12yo who lived her best life. After almost a year battling thyroid cancer and losing several kgs, she wasn't enjoying life anymore so we made the decision to let her rest. Her last moments were surrounded by my family and I hope the last thing she saw was us there with her, its the least she deserved. She's been around for almost half my life and has been my best friend through HS, uni and many different events. I'm going to miss you forever, you beautiful girl❤️ sleep well and I hope to see you again
