This week Ireland mourns the loss of our President's dog, Bród Higgins

Bród was adopted by President Higgins and his wife at 8 weeks old but passed this week at 11 years old. Bród in Irish means "Pride". Bród joins his sister, Síoda (meaning "Silk") at the Rainbow Bridge as she passed in 2020. Bród is survived by his little brother Misneach (meaning "Courage") who joined the family in 2021. The dogs were known to welcome many famous people and diplomats to the President's home Our hearts are with the Higgins Familt at this time.
