Found out my dog is partially deaf

Training has always been a struggle with the main cause being recall. He always seemed to listen to my dad but not me which was a problem since I’m his main care giver. Today was a lovely day to be told that no he isn’t ignoring me, but he can’t hear me. After four years of frustration I’m excited to finally be able to implement some training that might work. We always joked about him being stupid but I’m glad to learn that there’s some hope for his training. I’m honestly not upset by the news and am quite relieved to finally have an answer to my frustrations. A few more vet checks will confirm this for sure but it definitely makes sense now that I think about it.

I know this news and training won’t make all our problems go away but it’s a start. Wish us luck!
