It still hurts.
You always just wanted to be with us. No matter how small the gap, you would squeeze yourself into it, as long as you could be part of things. And whenever we nearly overlooked you or accidentally tripped over you, it apparently never bothered you.
Every morning, you would stand by my bed and greet me with your almond-shaped eyes, full of anticipation. You loved the snow, though you certainly weren't a fan of the summer heat, and you absolutely loved sitting on hills and high places, watching the world go by. Even when it came to sleeping, you had a way all your own: a loud thump as you dropped onto the floor.
For fifteen years, you made this world a little brighter with all your little quirks. Everyone who was lucky enough to know you loved you.
