Meet my girl

This is my girl poopup she's 3 years old, her mother was German Shepherd and border Collie her dad was a random smaller dog that broke into my cousin's backyard when her mom was in heat (we still don't know who owned that dog either)

My girl weighs 35 lb at her ideal weight, and she is very very smart.

She might not have energy for days and she has a good off and on switch, in the house she's pretty chill and sleepy outside she's very hyper but gas is out after about an hour or so of play.

I also have a Belgian malinois and I find that she learns things quicker and holds on to things better than he does.

She also does not need treats nor has ever needed treats to want to do something I just choose to give them, but for her a good pet and a good girl is a good enough reward.

She's also incredibly flexible, we have a small 2008 Subaru just a little car and she likes to get between my legs in the front seat and lay down (no she does not ride there)

And she would just get into the weirdest places because of how flexible she is, she can somehow bend her front legs back and rotate them at the shoulder and tell her paws are over her back when trying to squeeze through things.

Really the only issues she has are some skin allergies, every year her hair practically falls out she has to have a cone special shampoos the works because her back gets really scabby regardless of not having fleas.

She also has a fairly sensitive digestive system so can't eat certain things.

And even though I have had her since she was 2 weeks old (her mom did not produce any milk so she had to be bottle raised she was the only puppy out of the litter that made it, so I took her because I knew more about bottle raising animals than my cousin)

She hates other dogs, she doesn't mind puppies very much although she has very little patience for when they're misbehaving although she's pretty good about her corrections and not going overboard.

I've done a lot of training with her so in public you probably wouldn't notice it but she really hates strange dogs especially female and is not scared to get in a fight with them, most of the time she will ignore another dog since I have worked with her a lot knowing that she hates other dogs but if one starts acting foolish lunging for whatever reason or runs right up into her space she will snap at them and lunge back.

(Even with a muzzle people still want their dogs to walk right up to her even after I tell them that she's not friendly.. people are stupid)

She also tends to pee when she gets very excited, or if she sees a person that she really likes like my fiance, she loves him to death I don't know why but she does and she pees every time he just exists around her because she gets so excited. I legit had to teach her to clean it up herself because it was so bad (yes cleaning up herself she will go to the cabinet get a cleaning cloth and then come over and put it on top of her pee and swipe it around, and then she will take the cloth and put it in the dirty clothes)

I was originally going to teach her to be my service dog as I have a few health issues that I don't feel like sharing on the internet, and if there's no other dogs around she's actually wonderful , she tasks well she keeps her focus on me it's just her hatred for other dogs that made me decide to stop training her as a service dog at only a year old.

Even if I avoid the dog friendly areas people around my area are very inconsiderate and will take their dogs into very clearly marked areas that say no pets allowed, and to be honest if she isn't up to the exact standards of a service dog then regardless of how much easier my life would be with her I just don't think it's right to portray her as a service dog when she isn't comfortable around other dogs which she would have to be.

Another thing about her is despite her being a very large portion hurting dog and who knows what else she loves chickens rabbits literally any animal that's not another canine she loves them and gets protective of them, in fact the whole reason she is not spayed right now is because occasionally there will be puppies or kittens that are brought into our animal shelter that would normally be euthanized because they don't have the facilities to care for them, instead I Foster them and she is their nurse mother.

She doesn't hate puppies like I said especially really young ones she will actually happily nurse them, once they start getting teeth and running around being annoying then she starts losing her patience a bit but never becomes dangerous around them.

Her favorite animals by far have to be cats though, she gets a bit defensive around her food but for whatever reason she will let any cat come up and eat right out of her bowl, she lets them sleep on her she always has to go check on the cats every day, I don't know why she loves them so much.
