took my old boy to what was his favourite place when he was young

Fudge is 16 years old now (I’m 19 so we’ve grown up best friends) he still goes out on a short walk every day and is doing remarkably well for a Labrador of his age but his legs are stiff now and he’s completely deaf. When he was young he used to love going to this forest and walking across the stepping stones and swimming in the river. Nowadays he’s unable to get across the stepping stones and although he tried dipping his paws in the river he quickly decided he’s too old for that. So I sat with him on the stepping stones, for an hour, and we watched the water flow past us and he loved it…and so did I ❤️
