10 years with my best friend

This is Morgan. We rescued her in 2016, and she’s been the most wonderful dog. It took a lot for her to come out of her shell, but she’s the sweetest little thing. She was hit by a car and presumably dumped into a river before they found her. She’s been afraid of water ever since and lives with a limp. But she’s happier than ever, and she’s been there for every major event in my life.

I’m going off to college soon, and I’m afraid to leave her. I know 12 is old for a dog her size and that things can get bad fast, but I pray she continues to persist and be strong like she always has. I love her to death.
