She's been through a lot but we're on the road to recovery

My poor girl. We've been in an out of the vet for the last 6 or 7 weeks trying to figure out what is wrong. It was just one day she was off and i could tell she was in pain. In and out if the vet trying to convince them that something as not right, I just know it. 2 weeks ago, we had an x-ray done after I insisted something was wrong and they spotted something potentially wrong with her spine, so we were referred to a vet hospital to have a ct done.

Last week, we had ct done and also met with a second specialist about her stomach/digestive issues/history. He was present during the ct and noticed something concerning with her intestines, so he suggested an ultrasound, which we did. He saw a potential partial obstruction and possible intussuception in her intestines.

She's been completely normal as far as eating/passing with no vomiting, so we decided to wait a week and do a follow-up ultrasound . We also found some mild degeneration or something in the spine, which can be treated/managed conservatively (thank goodness)

Yesterday, we went back in for the follow-up, and it was still there, so she went straight into surgery. They found the obstruction, basically a fossilized mass of poo and hair, so it's been there a long time. Part of her intestine was wrapped up and also attached itself to the wall, so they fixed that and also removed part of her intestine that was damaged.

They also took biopsies from a few spots and other stuff to send to the lab to rule out any other GI disease.

I picked her up today, and now we are focusing on recovering. I'm so exhausted, but I'm so grateful to the team of vets that worked on her. They were truly amazing and proactive. I'm also grateful we got to it before it turned into an emergency. There were literally no signs.
