To the end, Ruby faced everything - including death - like a Jack: with fierceness.

I loved this girl with fierceness, too. And I will fiercely grieve her death.

We didn't think she'd live past Christmas but then we got 7 extra months of life. Hug your babies; mindfully seize every moment you can. My heart is beyond heavy with grief.
