| I lost my dog just yesterday morning, July 13, and I still can’t believe she’s gone. She’s my only dog, I spoiled and loved her a lot. I’ve been crying since July 11, the day we were supposed to celebrate her 8th birthday. I already had this heavy feeling in my chest because she was hospitalized twice that same day (Morning as OPD & Confinement on the evening). I kept hoping she would get better and come home, but she passed away two days later. I’ve been crying on and off ever since. I try to attend my online classes, but I can’t focus. Every time I open my notes, my mind goes back to her. One thing I can’t stop thinking about is our car rides, the recent one was just a day before we went to the clinic. She was always on my lap whenever we went somewhere. She loved sitting there, and it became our little routine. Yesterday, she was still on my lap—but this time, she was inside a box as we drove her to the crematory. In a few days, she’ll be on my lap again when I bring her home. But this time, it won’t be her. It’ll be her ashes and the little remains I have left of the dog who gave me eight beautiful years of unconditional love. I don’t know why that thought breaks me so much. Edit: Her name is Summer, born on July 7, 2018, and died recently this July 13, 2026. Thank you all for the kind words and support 💗 [link] [comments] |
