Losing a pet for the first time

My boy Dax was only 7 years old. We swam in the pool on Sunday, Monday he wasn't feeling well. Took him to the ER vet and they said he had fluid around his heart and free fluid in his belly from cancer. I have 2 other dogs, but this is the first time I have ever lost a pet and he was the youngest of the 3.

He was such a smart dog with the biggest personality. He protected the house fiercely. Rest in peace little buddy. You will be missed forever 😢
