My little turd blossom has been doing this since he was 4 months old. Is this normal pug puppy behavior or is he just deeply weird?

My dawg here is 7 months old and has been doing this since he was about 4 months old. He just lays down and spreads his back legs out. It’s giving Thanksgiving turkey. He’ll do it all day, every day, literally any chance he gets. He thoroughly enjoys this position for sleeping too.

He started breading his front paws with it, so I started calling it the “bread spread.”

When I brought him home for a visit, he did it in front of my dad. My dad said “wtf” and literally walked away in shock like Winston had just defied the laws of nature.

Is this common? Why? Will he keep doing it forever? It is so cute and so weird. I really hope he stays a little turd blossom forever 🥹
