He finally went into water!

Meet Uta, our Shiba Inu.

This place is 5min away from our home, and we are going here regularly. Uta is almost 3yo, and for his whole life, he never went into water by himself: being a Shiba, he clearly let us know he wasn’t happy with the water by screaming at us.

But it ends today!!!

We are currently experiencing a really bad heatwave in France, so I put him in the water to get his paws wet and "cold". For the first time in his whole life, he didn’t screamed at me, but he ENJOYED it!! I literally cried a little, happy tears because he finally understood that we weren’t trying to bully him, but we actually were helping him dealing with the hot weather. (We tried before luring him into the water with toys, treats and all, but he never liked it. I thought it would be better for him to be uncomfortable for 5seconds rather than not enjoying the benefits from the water.)

I am beyond happy, we will go there now if the heat is unbearable. We went back already today and he went back in without my help. I am so grateful 🥹
