My dads dog just passed away.
My father is in his 80s, retired, and lives alone. He got Chica 7 years ago from the shelter to keep him company. He referred to her as his baby girl and everything he did revolved around taking care of her.
He went out for a walk last week and one of the neighbors dogs got out and wasnt on a leash. The dog violently attacked Chica and by the time they got the dogs separated she was in very bad condition. He took her to the er and they said she was stable but didn’t look good. She was barely able to move and wasn’t eating for several days. Tonight she started having convulsions and ultimately passed away.
Chica was a great dog friendly as could be and gave my father purpose. She will be missed greatly and was truly a mans best friend.
