Last years annual checkup absolutely destroyed me when a test came back heartworm positive. I was blown away, we immediately switched preventatives and began treatment. There were no symptoms. Almost didnโ€™t test since he had been treated but decided to be safe. We were finally off of his exercise restriction a few months ago and began losing weight together. We began testing and it was still positive, but by the grace of god yesterday we got a negative result. The vet said his heart sounds amazing, he has lost weight, his teeth look awesome and I am so grateful my boy is well.

We have been saving up for a house so he can have a backyard to roam. He turned 7 in December, and decided even though he hasnโ€™t shown signs of arthritis itโ€™s best we got rid of the stairs. I am actively moving into a ground floor apartment until we hit our goal and find what we need.

We are Hopsins 4th (and final) owners. He has been a part of our family since the end of 2022. Im not sure what exactly he went through but for a long time I had to do laundry at odd hours because he was very afraid of hangers and belts. He no longer feels unsafe around them.

I made him a cake to celebrate, it is 100% pup friendly. Pumpkin, oat flour, SF peanut butter, banana, an egg and some plain greek yogurt. The treats are his multivitamins and crushed up aldi bones. Itโ€™s my first time so itโ€™s kinda ugly but he loved it and thatโ€™s all that matters.
