My heart is broken ❤️‍🩹 seeing her like this

My brother’s dog Twix just recently underwent surgery to remove a lump on the side of her right eye. Seeing her with that large incision and all the stitches is breaking my heart. What makes me even feel worse is that I live in a different city so I’m not there to give her pets and keep her company.

I am flying there this June but that’s still 2 months away. 😔

Doctor said there were no cancer cells but they sent the biopsy sample for further testing to see if there’s anything else we need to know. I am dreading the terrible possibilities. 💔

UPDATE: It looks like I misunderstood what my brother told me - they took a small biopsy and no cancer cells were found, but they sent it to the lab for further verification and there's a chance that they missed the cancer cells. If that happens they may need to remove a bigger mass very close to her eyes and she might not be able to open or close her eyelids if it comes to that.
