Soul Dog Sullie

Soul Dog Sullie

I had her since I was a junior in high school, she has been apart of my life for 12 years. Through all the graduations (almost), from the boyfriends, to fiancé, to husband. We moved over 6 times together and over 1800 miles. She was always by my side through heartbreaks, the drama, and all my greatest accomplishments.

It's been 5 days and the world keeps spinning but I feel so lost without her. No one can ever prepare you for the lost of a dog that grew up with you through your young adult life. I genuinely don't know my adult life without her. I know she's no longer in pain and suffering but what I wouldn't do for 5 more minutes. I know with time it gets easier but I feel like a piece of me went with her.

I graduate with my masters in May and it's already feeling hard without her because she was there for all the other graduations and im every picture. Going back to working a regular schedule feels difficult when I just feel so numb and coming home doesn't feel the same.

Our other dog, has been handling it surprisingly well and has been such a good support. But what broke my heart was when we let her sniff her sister goodbye and she tried to climb in the grave after her. We dont deserve dogs. They're truly the purest soul.

Thank you for letting me share my sweet Sullie🤍
