| | She’s 11 years old and has had a big hard lump on her chest for a long time. I’ve noticed as she’s gotten older especially this year the lumps been putting pressure on her chest and by proxy her air ways. Her breed already has issues breathing so we’re going to remove the lump and hopefully it’ll put less stress on her body. The vet said there’s a possibility it’s a cancerous lump so they’re going to test it but she’s incredibly healthy and has shown no signs at all of cancer. She’s gained weight from the last time she was at the vets and is as perky as the day we got her. I’m worried of course, even though the vet assured us that she’s got a strong heart and will be fine for the anaesthesia and recovery it’s still a big worry ❤️🩹. He said the lump isn’t attached to anything so that’s also a good sign. She’s my childhood dog and I’ve had her since I was 7, I’m 16 now. Hopefully the removal of the tumour will make her more comfortable in life. Although the tumour doesn’t seem to affect her greatly, dogs are great at pretending nothings going on and watching her dry heave after eating or sitting down is heart breaking. She’s my soul dog and I think I’m her soul person. The look of love in her eyes on the 3rd picture makes me want to cry, I really do believe she loves me as much as I love her. [link] [comments] |
