Time for a new crate?

Hello all,

My IRWS may be getting a bit large for her cage. It’s about a half inch per side larger than her mother’s cage was (after the pups mama now no longer wants to sleep in cages), and it’s the same one her two (admittedly smaller) sisters use. It’s the XL size our dog store offers - but something is just telling me it’s small. Some background on her cage use:

She does not overnight in her cage, she’s a bed puppy through and through.

She is only in it when I travel for work. About 2/3 of the year I’m at home or she joins her sisters and mother at my parents place. When at work she’s in it generally for 2 sets of 3ish hour shifts. For instance if the start time is 9, she’s out for lunch at 12. Back in at 12:30, out at 3 (sometimes as early as 1:30, sometimes as late as 5 just depends on the day).

She always seems content in there when I go by. It’s large enough that she can stand, stretch, etc, but just barely at full extension. She tends to just lay and nap. She’s a ball sleeper usually, whether in or out of the cage.

She goes in just fine when it’s time. Doesn’t seem upset or pitiful when lunch break is over.

She’s likely full size, or close to it. She’s the largest of her sisters I have easy comparison access to (can’t compare her to the two sisters or her brother who went to other states, for instance). She’s nearly the size (but not width haha) of her mother, who’s still got a few excess pounds to burn off from the pups so I don’t really expect her to get much if any bigger.

So what do we think? Am I overthinking this and she’s fine, or do I need to find a XXL cage somewhere?
