My old girl (14) is finally kicking pancreatitis’ ASS

After months of failed treatments* and rapidly rising levels, today I finally got the news that my 14 year old dog’s pancreatitis levels are DOWN BY HALF! Just last night I was preparing myself for her to pass soon, now I am giddy and teary at work because she’s finally on the mend.

Despite her advanced age, Olivia enjoys an incredibly high quality of life. Thanks to her amazing veterinarian, she now will hopefully have several more years of running, playing, and (prescription diet) treats!

Posting here because, after months of worry and grief, I honestly needed to celebrate with those who get it.

*treatments were: prescription diet, antibiotics, and steroids. Enzymes (combined with the diet) finally worked!!
