Abandoned puppy showed up at my house!

Hey all, I’m sure some of you remember my post back at the end of April about the loss of our baby Rex. We still have three other dogs but of course it was a devastating and traumatic experience to lose him. Last Sunday a random puppy showed up on our cameras when we weren’t home, super skinny, no collar, and by the time I got home he was gone. We live in the middle of nowhere so I was worried about him surviving the cold nights and coyotes. A couple days ago he was spotted two miles away on someone’s farm, so we got a trap, some bacon, set it up, and waited. In under two hours he was caught, covered in ticks and sweet as can be. Vet said he is all good other than being malnourished and Lyme disease which I knew he was going to have. I didn’t want another dog but this little guy is here to stay and my wife wasn’t gonna let him go anyway. I like to think Rex guided him to the right place 🙂
