What can I do to give him the BEST last day? Tommorw he crosses the rainbow bridge.

This is chief. He is 14. We got him janaury 1 2024. Yesterday on my birthday i found out he had cancer. Out of nowhere he went from running laps to barely being able to move in the last two weeks. Today he can barely walk a block.

My bf and I are devastated, angry, and confused. He was always so healthy, fast and agile. Noone believed us when we said his age because he was so active.

We want to give him the best day today as we both are done with work early and tomorrow at 10:10am he will cross the rainbow bridge, free of pain, free to run endless of fields and catch so many balls.

Thoughts and suggestions? Please keep in mind, moving is very painful for him right now. He is on paid meds.

Getting chief, the senior old dog he is, was the BEST decision i ever made. Please dont skip over seniors in the shelters. He made my life amazing and full.
